Close the autism employment gap - 1

Only 16% of autistic adults are in full-time paid employment

It's outrageous that in almost a decade the situation hasn’t improved.

More needs to be done to support autistic adults into and at work. Some workplaces are full of too much information; too many sounds, lights, stares, glares – and too little understanding. The Government has committed to halving the disability employment gap. But without more understanding from both employers and the Government, autistic adults will continue to be left behind, their abilities overlooked. We've waited too long for change.

We are calling on the Government to take decisive action to double the number of autistic people in work.

Only then will we be able to reduce the autism employment gap, and make sure autistic people get the jobs they deserve. Sign the petition to make sure our collective voice is heard by Government.
